Today, Sunday February 3rd is expected to be the day of the first commercial flight beetween Dhaka and Dubai for GMG Airlines using a Boeing 747-300.
As seen on the Dubai airport web site, the flight is not on the program of the day.
Has someone any info ?Where is the plane and what about the route?

yes, it's right for the aircraft, ex air Atlanta 747-300, but impossible to find any info concerning the expected first flight today. is the 747 painted in full GMG colors?

Yes GMG Airlines of Bangladesh has wet leased a B743 from Air Atlanta Icelandic. February 1st was the first flight from Dhaka to Dubai operating as Z5-091. Today was the inaugural ceremony held at the VVIP terminal at Dhaka Zia International Airport. They are expecting to recieve another B743 in March. The B743 is now only operating on DAC-DXB-DAC. They next destination will be Doha, Qatar. In the plans are Kuwait City, Ryadh and Muscat.
GMG operates: 3 Dash 8s (2 are owned and 1 leased), 2 MD82 (2 more coming in April) and now 1 B747-300.

GMG can fill up easily a B 743 flying to RUH but it would be extremely difficult if they flew terminator flights using a B 743 to DOH, KWI & MCT unless they combine two destinations in one flight such as DAC-MCT-KWI or DAC-DOH-KWI.
I hope this airline succeeds as it has a good reputation with Bengali pax + its international interlining partners.

Man newspapers never get anything right. I was at the launching ceremony, the MD of GMG said "we will operate 2 more aircrafts (MD82s) in April, later on we will get B777s and B787" the news papers are now saying that GMG is getting a B777 and a B787.
